Terms & Conditions
Ian Fitzsimmons Training offer regulated and non-regulated training courses along with awareness training courses.
Ian Fitzsimmons Training has the right to change or amend any terms and conditions along with costs and fees at any time without notice.
Training courses will take place at the clients venue unless otherwise stated.
1. Bookings
Bookings may be made by telephone or email. All bookings must be completed in full. Once you have booked, ​I will acknowledge receipt of your booking with an invoice and confirmation for the booking will be confirmed on receipt of full payment unless previously arranged with us. Receipt of payment will be confirmed by email and will include all relevant details for the course.
2. Payment
Payment must pay in full no later than 14 days prior to the course start date or at the time of booking if within 14 days of the course start date.
BACS payment is prefered (bank details will be given at time of a booking). If any problems occur with payment, then Ian Fitzsimmons Training has the right to cancel/postpone the proposed training course and/or withhold certificates until the problem is resolved.
Clients requests to use their venue/home for the training course has no hire, rental or any additional costs to Ian Fitzsimmons Training or members of his staff including subcontractors.
Receipt/Invoice will be issued for payment.
3. Expenses
Ian Fitzsimmons Training may invoice the client for the following expenses if required:
Personal protection equipment (PPE). Pre-training course agreement with the client.
Fuel @ 50p per mile (From Ian Fitzsimmons Training location to arranged venue for training and return journey)
Parking @ cost of standard rate.
Accommodation @ cost of standard rate.
4. Change of course date
Should you want to change your course date to a different date then this can be done no less than 14 days prior to their original course start date. A £30.00 admin charge may apply to this which is non-refundable.
Any course date which is changed within the final 14 days of the course start date may incur an admin charge of £50.00 which is non-refundable.
5. Cancellations/Refunds
Should you require to cancel the booked and confirmed course then the following refunds will apply:
Cancelation more than 14 days prior to the course start date - 50% refund of monies paid.
Cancelation less than 14 days prior to the course start date - No Refund (alternative course dates will be offered by Ian Fitzsimmons Training.
Refunds will not be given if someone does not attend the course.
Any student who fails to attend any part of the course will not be refunded.
If at any time Ian Fitzsimmons Training cancels the course for any reason and cannot offer you a place on another course then a refund of the full amount paid by you will be offered.
6. Course attendance instructions and timings
All course attendance, timings, venue, date and all relevant instructions will be available and emailed or posted to you by Ian Fitzsimmons Training. It is the clients responsibility to make sure students arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the course start time. Any student arriving late or miss any sessions may not be able to continue the course due to them not meeting the learning outcomes or standards required, then Ian Fitzsimmons Training or the course instructor will make the final decision in relation to this. All other matters regarding timings and attendance must be discussed with Ian Fitzsimmons Training or the course instructor.
7. Discount & Offers
Ian Fitzsimmons Training reserves the right to withdraw any discounts or/and offers at any time.
8. Requalification Courses
All students attending a requalification course must hold a current in-date qualification and must not lapse before or during the requalification course.
If a students certificate lapses before or during the course then that student will not be accepted on the course.
It is the students responsibility to make sure they have a current qualification to attend the course. A copy of a current certificate must be provided to Ian Fitzsimmons Training before attending the course.
9. Medical Conditions & Liability
Some of the training sessions may include parts which may be physically/mentally demanding and possibly stressful for the individual. Demonstrations will be carried out by the individual which will include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR, kneeling, stretching and much more. It is essential that all individuals ensure that they are fit and able to participate and complete the course to the required standards. Individuals must declare any medical conditions or sickness they have prior to starting their course. All clients booking training courses must inform their staff of these terms and conditions and must not enrol any member on the training course with a physical or mental illness and/or health issues which will be detrimental to the course outcome for the individual. If any medical conditions or sickness occur during the course then the individual must make the course instructor aware immediately or as soon as reasonably practicable.
It is the students decision to participate in any physical activities during the training session and you agree not to hold Ian Fitzsimmons Training or their trainers, instructors, subcontractors or staff liable for any legal/civil claim occurring from any injury (physical, mental and/or cross contamination) while participating during the training session or after completion of the training course.
Ian Fitzsimmons Training welcomes any students with disabilities who are able to meet the training course criteria and standards. Any assistance required for the students during the course must be notified to Ian Fitzsimmons Training 14 days prior to the course start date.
If you have any concern as to your ability to participate, it is recommended that you have yourself assessed by a medical professional prior to attending and contact Ian Fitzsimmons Training.
Declaration documents will have to be signed by every student prior to attending the course agreeing to their physical/mental fitness to participate.
10. Photography
Students agree that Ian Fitzsimmons Training and its instructors may take photos/recordings and all steps will be taken to ensure photography images are used only for the purpose they are intended, which are current and future training purposes and displayed on Ian Fitzsimmons Training website, advertising materials, facebook business page, instagram and information literature in relation to the training courses. All photography will remain secure and not passed to any third parties.
Any students not willing for any photography during the training course must make Ian Fitzsimmons Training or its instructors aware prior to the training course starting.
11. Enhanced CRB/DBS Certified​
All instructors teaching younger learners or children will have a current Enhanced CRB/DBS certificate.

12. Approved Centre Information
Ian Fitzsimmons Training is an approved Instructor/training centre of NUCO Training Limited. All materials and learning literature has been produced either by NUCO Training Limited unless otherwise stated. Ian Fitzsimmons Training, staff members and their Instructors will not accept any legal responsibility for any change, mistakes, alterations or misinterpretation of any course material or information from awarding bodies, trade bodies, companies or any other organisation involved in issuing the standard criteria for the training courses.
13. Dress Code
All individuals are advised to wear suitable and comfortable clothing during the course. Some clothing which the student will find not suitable to wear due to the nature of the course maybe skirts, dresses, heeled footwear, tight jeans, jewellery, baseball hats.

14. Responsibility of the client
It is the responsibility of the client to make sure that all staff members attending the training course are briefed accordingly.
15. Copyright

Materials, literature and logos used on the courses are copyrighted to an individual or company.
These may only be used by the student attending the course for their personal use and not to be altered or copied in any way for their or someone else's gain.
