Basic Life Support (RQF) Level 2
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for a Basic Life Support trained person in the Workplace, this one-day qualification (minimum 3 contact hours) is delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the guidelines set out by the HSE, Skills for Health, Training Qualifications UK and First Aid Awards. This qualification also meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
This award is assessed by one unit which will enable the learner to gain knowledge and the practical skills required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.
Personal protection equipment (PPE)
During the training course all staff and students will always wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) when required. Please read covid-19 compliance policy for further information.
Unit 1​
Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider​
Be able to assess an incident (Primary Survey)​
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty​
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking​​​
Be able to place a casualty in the recovery position.​
Perform CPR which will include correct placement of aed pads and follow aed instructions

We are able to deliver this course to individuals or groups at your place of work, subject to a pre course risk assessment.
Assessment & Certification:
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor during the course along with a multiple choice question paper if required.
A three year Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support certificate will be issued to the learner, subject to the learner being successful.
Depending on which Awarding/Trade body we use, you will get some or all of the below:

Your certificate electronically emailed which will be valid for 3 years.
Certified CPD certificate.
A free digital learners manual.
Hard copy of learners manual.
